2008 Mount Mary Quintet

The Mount Mary vineyard is planted to Cabernet sauvignon (46%), Merlot (26%), Cabernet Franc (18%), Malbec (5%) and Petit Verdot (5%) although the percentage of each variety that goes into the final blend changes with the vintage.

Very deep dark crimson red colour with dark crimson red mauve hue. The nose displays good perfumed lift with aromas of ripe mulberry, cedar, dark cherry and spice followed by cigar box end notes. Medium bodied the palate displays great elegance and grace with flavours of mulberry, blackcurrant and dark cherry followed by some spice, cedar and a touch of cigar box. Super fine grained well integrated tannin structure. Long aftertaste of mulberry, cedar and spice.
Cellar 5-8 years (2016-2019).
