2008 Infrequent Flyers Caol Ila Single Cask No.1820 13 Year Old Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

The last time we encountered a Caol Ila as dark and brooding as this it was a phenomenal Adelphi, only that was from an Oloroso cask. This one sits at the opposite extreme, drawn from a Pedro Ximenez sherry hogshead (it's such a saturate that you'd almost wonder if there's any whisky in the bottle - or if it's just PX!!) Anticipate a Caol Ila where smoke takes back seat and the malt is literally dripping with sweet dried fruit character. 268 bottles. 55.2% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered.
