Opaque black dark crimson red colour with deep dark crimson red hue. The nose displays perfumed violet top notes followed by some blackberry, liquorice, earth and spice notes. Medium to full bodied and showing a degree of elegance for Heathcote Shiraz the palate delivers a flavour profile of ripe blackberry, liquorice and spice followed by a meaty pepper like end component. Fine grained, although slightly dryish tannins. Medium to long aftertaste of blackberry, liquorice, meaty spice and pepper.
