Excellent creamy purple mousse with good hold. Dark crimson red black base colour with exceptionally fine and persistent bead. The nose is quite closed revealing subtle aromas of inky blackberry and plum with a hint of liquorice also present. The palate displays youthful concentrated flavours of ripe blackberry, ink, plum, liquorice and confectionary finishing quite dry with just a touch of bitterness evident on the back palate. Aftertaste of dark cherry, plum and liquorice. The wine needs time to fill out and build complexity.
