2008 Douglas Laing & Co. Old Particular Single Cask Tobermory 15 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

As one of Scotland's older distilleries (est.1798), Tobermory should be better known by now. Its notoriety is slowly gathering steam. New management and quality releases are making this Hebridean stalwart a go-to island whisky experience. The distillery produces both peated an unpeated whisky for use in the Black Bottle and Scottish Leader blends, as well as the super peaty Ledaig and Tobermory single malts. This indie release totals 243 bottles decanted from a Bourbon barrel. 48.4% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered.

Notes from the bottlers... Nose: A sweet candied character with fruit salad and vanilla/spicy tang. Palate: Detect brown sugar and cinnamon with sweet Malt and stone fruits. Finish: a freshly baked pastry style lingers on alongside toffee and pear drops.
