A better than good introduction to Fettercairn. Initially light and biscuity evoking water crackers and distant vanilla wafers, the aromas build with malt extract, Ugg boots and cream tea biscuits. Same on the palate where the malt initially has a slightly tempered character; hints of pastry and beeswax before the barley fully recovers making for a bit of a malt-fest. Wood spices pick up momentum through the creamy vanilla-laced finish. A high-grade Bourbon barrel that allows the distillate a good showing. 54.1% Alc.Vol. Non chill filtered. 229 bottles.
