Totally opaque black dark red colour with very deep dark red hue. The nose displays aromas of dark ripe blackberry, liquorice, dark chocolate, vanillin confectionary and spice. Medium to full bodied the palate displays flavours of blackberry, ripe dark plum, liquorice and spice. Lacks some depth and despite its 14.9% alcohol it remains quite elegant for Heathcote Shiraz. Fine grained tannins with aftertaste of blackberry, liquorice and confectionary.
