2007 Vasse Felix Cabernet Merlot

Opaque deep purple red colour with crimson hue. Aromas of ripe blackcurrant, mulberry and dark chocolate with a hint of confectionary and cedar in the background. Medium to full bodied palate with flavours of rich ripe blackcurrant and mulberry followed by cedar, tobacco and confectionary. Good weight displaying much more richness and a riper fruit profile than the 2006. Excellent balance with fine grained dry tannins and aftertaste of blackcurrant, mulberry and cedar.
