Other Reviews....
This is notably fresh and expressive for a young Clos de Vougeot with intensely earthy red and dark berry fruit aromas complementing extremely rich and full-bodied flavors that are quite ripe in the context of the 2007 vintage and very serious while offering good depth and length on the moderately austere and dusty finish. This is really quite good with ample character that should also reward 10 to 15 years of cellar time. Drink 2019+.

Allen Meadows - Burghound (2010)
Medium red. Reticent aromas of medicinal black cherry, redcurrant, menthol and nutty oak. Distinctly clenched today and dominated by its structure. Finishes with substantial dusty tannins and little in the way of easy sweetness. With 48 hours in the recorked bottle, a strong note of licorice emerged. This will require at least five or six years of cellaring.
