The incredibly dark colour suggests this is the undisputed sherry bomb of the collection. Bitter peel marmalade, gives way to sweeter notes. Oloroso is nicely harmonised with Glen Elgin's fruity, floral-honeyed distillate. Not the kind of dry, nutty oloroso you might anticipate, but with a surprising degree of honeyed-malt sweetness in reserve. Uncut the balance is near faultless. Gentle spices and peel zest add a necessary 'twang'. Despite the precocious colour, this is more about elegance and controlled power.
