2006 Skillogalee Basket Pressed Shiraz

Sourced from low yielding unirrigated vines this wine was matured for 24 months in a combination of French and American oak hogsheads. Opaque black purple colour with purple mauve hue. Aromas of confectionary, aniseed and liquorice allsorts followed by a touch of spearmint, showing good intensity. The palate is full bodied with excellent richness and flavour concentration – liquorice allsorts, plum, mint and spice flavours are followed by some confectionary and pepper characters on the back palate. Fine grained tannin structure with long aftertaste of blackberry, plum, mint and spice.
