2006 Seppelt Salinger Pinot Noir Chardonnay Brut

A blend of 54% Pinot Noir, 42% Chardonnay and 4% Pinot Meunier that was sourced from the cool climate regions of Henty, Adelaide Hills and Tumbarumba.The wine was matured for 3 years on lees in the bottle.

Good white creamy mousse with exceptionally fine and very persistent bead. Pale straw coloured base wine. Aromas of baked bread, yeast lees, cashew and a touch of citrus – an excellent sniff. The palate is quite yeasty with supporting flavours of baked bread, biscuit and toast with some citrus on the back palate. Creamy texture with a clean crisp dry finish. Aftertaste of yeast lees, baked bread and cashew.
Drink over the next 3-4 years (2013-2014).
