2006 Glaymond Asif Cabernet Sauvignon - Museum Release
Please note: Due to the age of this wine, some bottles may show signs of advanced maturity and we recommend enjoying it sooner rather than further cellaring.
The 2006 Glaymond releases marked the emergence of a promising Barossa Valley estate, with winemaker Damien Tscharke bringing renewed focus to his family’s long-established vineyards. Planted in 1961 by his grandfather, Gerhard Tscharke, the vineyards lie on the Western Barossa Ridge at Seppeltsfield, surrounded by some of the region’s most respected producers. The fruit had previously been supplied to wineries including Rockford, Peter Lehmann and Penfolds before Damien began crafting wines under the Glaymond label in 2001. The Asif Cabernet Sauvignon is drawn from these historic family vineyards, reflecting the distinctive character of the Western Barossa.
