The Loch Lomond Distillery is truly a one-of-a-kind set up with three different still types (Pot Stills, Lomond Stills, and Column Stills), four different yeast types, and varying barley types (unpeated, moderately peated, and heavily peated). It's all because they make different styles of malts, grains and blends with names such as Inchfad, Rhosdhu, Craiglodge, Inchmoan, or indeed Inchmurrin and Croftengea. When well selected, the latter beats quite a few peaters from Scotland’s mainland. And some from the islands too! This edition from Single Cask Nation comes with a considerable age statement. 284 bottles were decanted from a second fill Bourbon hogshead. 50.6% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered.
