2005 Rojo Granrojo Garnacha

A medium bodied Grenache, with crimson brick red colour and crimson brick red hue. Top note of spice and raspberry, followed by a hint of new leather, truffle and spice. On the palate flavours of spice and raspberry emerge, followed by a hint of leather and earth. Fine grained tannins. Light raspberry and plum aftertaste.

First Tasted, July 2006: Vibrant mauve purple colour with mauve purple hue. Lifted nose of liquorice and spice, followed by a raspberry end note, showing distinctive Grenache aroma. Cherry, raspberry palate flavours, with a spicy liquorice back palate. Moderate length. Fine grained, slightly chalky tannins - quite unlike many Spanish traditional reds. Aftertaste of cherry, raspberry and spice.
