Excellent deep crimson mauve colour. Medium body. Top note of toasted oak and spice, followed by notes of black cherry and anise. Full bodied palate, still quite youthful. Fine grained tannins, in balance which persist into the aftertaste. A pinot that should be allowed to develop.
