This wine was produced from a blend of 63% Shiraz, 18% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, and 9% Cabernet Franc and underwent maturation in a combination of new and used French (50%) and American (50%) hogsheads for 20 months prior to blending and bottling.
Bright deep crimson colour with deep
crimson mauve hue. Perfumed nose with violet top note, followed by spice, chocolate,
confectionary, blackcurrant and cedar. Mouthfilling palate, with velvet smooth
tannins, excellent balance. Flavours of chocolate, confectionary, blackcurrant and
cedar linger well into the aftertaste.
