Quality wise, 2005 was another remarkable vintage yielding high grade cane and low allocations. After twelve years in a combination of ex Bourbon and Single Malt whisky casks, Diplomatico's 2005 vintage release spent twelve months finishing in Spanish oloroso sherry barrels. Redolent with aromas and flavours of vanilla, mixed spices, almonds, tobacco and caramel, it promises another decadent and complex rum from the team at the DUSA distillery in Venezuela.
