Very deep black crimson colour with black crimson hue. Top note of violets cedar, vanilla, blackberry and spice. The palate is more restrained than the 2003 and needs time to open. White pepper and black pepper flavours emerge followed by plum, spice and vanilla over a dark chocolate background. Fine grained tannins, excellent balance. Long aftertaste of vanilla, spice and dark chocolate.
