2004 Kurabana Estate Blanc de Noir Pinot Noir Brut

This Sparkling wine is ‘self popping’ in that it appears to be over gassed and as soon as the wine hood was removed, the cork was launched into orbit with wine gushing everywhere. The bottle was not disturbed prior to opening; in fact it had been stored vertically for several weeks prior to tasting. Very good creamy mousse. Very fine persistent bead. Pale straw colour base wine. Delicate nose of biscuit and winter strawberry. Creamy palate texture. The palate has nuances of lemon and grapefruit. Crisp acid fruit.
