The wine is 90% sourced from the Bass Phillip Vineyard and 10% from Paul Staindl’s
vineyard at Red Hill. Deep crimson plum colour with mauve plum hue. Top notes of smoky bacon, spice, plum and cherry with a hint of truffle as an endnote showing good varietal character. The palate has a good power wave, with flavours of cherry and sour cherry emerging over a toasted oak background. Fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of cherry, spice and plum.
