2004 Boundary Rider Chardonnay

Peter Flewellyn is emerging as Geelong’s most talented winemaker. The winery is located at Waurn Ponds and boasts state of the art winemaking and laboratory facilities. The Chardonnay displays a flavour profile well above its price point, which is achieved by barrel ferment and oxidative handling of juice.

An excellent follow on from the 2003 release. Brilliant straw colour with pale straw hue. Classic barrel aged Chardonnay nose of yeast lees, cashew and biscuit with just a hint of citrus. Creamy palate texture. Flavours of citrus, yeast less, cashew and biscuit emerge with a touch of toasted oak in the background. Clean acid finish. Aftertaste of cashews, yeast lees and biscuit.
