2003 Mitchelton Watson's Block Roussanne

Only a tiny parcel of this wine was produced – 280 dozen to be precise. Roussanne is widely grown in the Rhone Valley but only in small quantities in Australia. It produces an exotic aromatic dry white with aroma and flavour that could be likened to a cross between Marsanne and Viognier.
Brilliant gold straw colour with a hint of green. The nose is a delight, with aroma of spice, honey, cinnamon and exotic tropical fruit. On the palate, there is a hint of citrus emerging over a layer of honey and exotic tropical fruit. Full body, with excellent balance. Very long aftertaste of exotic tropical fruit, citrus, spice and cinnamon oak.
