Drawn from a single ex-bourbon barrel, this needs time to evolve moderate aromas suggestive of toasted sponge cake, oatmeal biscuits and dried grass, however it leaves a strong impression on the palate: Dense and mouth coating, with a gorgeous honeyed malt profile including toasted cereals and a beeswaxy quality that could be mistaken for Clyneish on a good day - especially as those cereal/waxy notes play out at the chewy finish. Remarkably vibrant for its age but remains well balanced uncut. 55.8% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered. 218 bottles.
