2002 Cape Mentelle Wallcliffe Sauvignon Blanc Semillon

This is Cape Mentelle’s top of the range Semillon Sauvignon Blanc blend. Produced from fruit grown on the Wallcliffe Vineyards (planted in 1972) and fermented with wild yeast in new French and American oak.Brilliant pale straw colour with waterlike hue. The nose is pronounced, with strong asparagus, capsicum and grass like notes. Creamy palate texture, with excellent palate length. Grassy, tropical fruit flavours emerge, over a spicy background which persists long into the aftertaste. Clean acid finish.
