The grapes for this wine were grown at Bests new Salvation Vineyard. Opaque black purple colour with black purple hue. Superb nose of spice, liquorice, blackberry and violets – making it a sniffing delight. The palate is less voluptuous than the colour and nose might suggest. Flavours of white and black pepper, plum, liquorice and cedar. Fine grained tannins, relatively tight. Very long aftertaste of spice and white pepper.
