The colour of this wine is a total saturate of black purple, reminiscent of the opacity achieved from Heathcote reds. Aroma of liquorice, toasted oak, blackberry, soy, and dark chocolate. The palate has plenty of ‘clunk’ but without the length. It’s a smack in the mouth, but a short hard smack. Flavours of vanilla, plum, liquorice and tar. Fine dry tannins with long liquorice and soy aftertaste.
