Tasting Note:
This wine has blossomed considerably since we last tasted it in August 2003. The nose and palate have gained complexity and length. Translucent brick red colour with brick red hue. Lifted nose, showing distinct varietal character. Aroma of strawberry and cherry jam, followed by a touch of spice and toasted oak. The palate has developed an excellent power wave, with spice and strawberry flavours being dominant and enhanced by some toasted oak. Velvet smooth tannins, with very long, persistent spice and strawberry aftertaste.
