Very deep crimson mauve colour, with mauve edge. The nose has a Rhone like influence, with aroma of earth, truffle and a hint of farmyard. On the palate, flavours of stewed fruit and earth over a background of truffle, plum and blackpepper. The palate structure is relatively tight and several years bottle age will help. Fine grained tannins, with excellent balance. Aftertaste of stewed fruit and blackpepper.
