Barrel fermented in French oak, and matured on yeast lees. The wine has all the characteristics of a wood matured chardonnay.Bright straw colour. On the nose classic barrel ferment aromas of vanilla, spice, yeast lees and butterscotch. The palate displays flavours of citrus and grapefruit followed by butterscotch and yeast lees. Warm spicy back palate, with acidity running a touch high, followed by an aftertaste of butterscotch and yeast lees. Cellar 3-4 years.
