A commercial style chardonnay that has been very heavily oaked. Bright pale straw colour, the oak leaps out of the glass in a very heavy-handed way. Aromas of oak, cinnamon, spice and vanilla over ride any fruit that might be in the wine. The palate flavours are similarly swamped in oak, with fruit very much playing a background role. Spice,oak and cinnamon aftertaste. Cellar 1-2 years.
