A finely structured Cabernet. Very deep crimson colour. Aroma of violets, blackcurrant and spice followed by hints of cedar, and just the faintest hint of leaf. The wine displays Classic Bordeaux finesse with elegance and flavour, but without the abundant ripe fruit characteristics that Classic Coonawarra achieves. The tannins are fine grained, relatively firm, followed by a long blackcurrant spice aftertaste. Cellar 4-5 years.
