An impressive wine. Very deep, almost opaque crimson mauve colour. Aroma of earth, spice and truffle with overtones of farmyard, overripe blackberries and plum. The palate has excellent mouthfeel and loads of ripe fruit flavours. Vanilla oak, spice, plum and earth flavours are mixed with truffles followed by a lot of blackpepper. Fine grained, dryish tannin structure but in perfect balance with the fruit. Great value for money. Cellar 3 – 4 years.
