An outstanding follow up to the 1998 Hamilton Merlot. Made from 25 year old vines.Very deep crimson mauve colour. Classic Merlot nose with aromas of earth, truffle, leather, mulberry and spice. Mouthfilling palate flavours with excellent length and persistence. Flavours of earth, leather, plum, spice and mulberry abound. Fine grained tannins. An elegant wine with very long plum, earth aftertaste. Cellar 3-4 years.
