Very deep crimson colour. A refined nose with aroma of violets, over a back ground of earth, stewed fruit and with a confectionery end note. The palate displays a degree of elegance, in spite of the massive 14.5% alcohol. Mouthfilling flavours of spice, plum and stewed fruit, followed by a hint of liquorice. Fine grained dryish tannins followed by a long aftertaste of earth, stewed fruit, liquorice and spice. Cellar 3-4 years.
