A rather subtle wine. Bright straw colour. Delicate aroma of flor, yeast lees and biscuit with a hint of butterscotch. Dry palate with flavours of nut, cashews and almond with a touch of biscuit. Good weight, but rather subtle palate with nut, flor yeast and almond flavours lingering. Cellar 2-3 years.
Retasted: April 2001
Bright pale gold colour. Aroma of toasted oak, butterscotch and yeast lees, with biscuit and cashew end notes. The palate is broad, and beginning to flatten out. Flavours of melon, figs, yeast lees and butterscotch cover nuances of grapefruit that are in the background. Soft acid finish, with nut and toasted oak aftertaste. Drink now.
