Produced by Francesco and Elizabeth Calabria from Griffith in NSW, this Chardonnay won two awards in Sydney recently. The Blue Gold Medal in the top 100 and also judged the best value in the top 100.Deep brassy yellow colour, quite developed for a young wine. The aroma displays a wine that has been well oaked, with strong peach, spice, vanilla and cinnamon aromas fighting for prominence over the heavy oak. On the palate the oak flavours are again dominant with citrus, peach and melon being relegated to a background position. Good weight with strong vanillin oak and peach aftertaste. Cellar 1-2 years.
