1998 Vasse Felix Classic Dry Red

Made from a blend of 38% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Shiraz, 27% Merlot and 2% Cabernet Franc.The Vasse Felix Classic Dry Red is made to be ideally consumed within the first four years after vintage date. The Merlot and Shiraz components of the blend are sourced from the Manjimup district and are blended with ripe Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon fruit. The varieties are vinified and aged separately in French and American oak for 12-18 months before blending. Bright red colour with purple hues. Raspberry and cranberry aromas dominate the nose with hints of bay leaf and tobacco. The palate is soft and medium bodied with gentle tannins and an array of red berry flavours dominating. A very approachable, easy drinking red. Cellar up to 4 years.
