Very deep opaque crimson, mauve colour. Superb wine with aromas of violets, cedar, vanilla, blackcurrants and liquorice all sorts. Excellent ripe fruit flavours on the palate, dominated by plum, spice and blackcurrant. Fine grained firm tannins, which need time to soften. Long aftertaste of spice and blackcurrant. Cellar 5-8 years.
