The Cuthbertson family have produced a very consistent and high quality barrel fermented Chardonnay for many years now, and the 1998 is developing very well. Bright straw colour- excellent, balanced and integrated barrel fermented aroma of yeast lees, butterscotch, cashew, melon and fig, which has been transferred onto the palate and beginning to show signs of early bottle development. Long complex flavours of nut, yeast lees and biscuit are evident and remain very persistent- excellent oak, fruit and fermented characteristics, perfect balance, with very long aftertaste of biscuit, nut and yeast lees. Cellar 3-4 years.
