1998 Ingoldby Reserve Shiraz

A near perfect wine. Spectacular flavour. Magnificent purple crimson colour, totally opaque, with a very black heart. Superb nose with aroma of plum, spice, vanilla and toasted oak. A wonderful sniffing experience! The palate does not disappoint and reflects the outstanding qualities of the 1998 vintage, which on a wine by wine basis is indeed shaping up to the vintage of the century. Mouthfilling flavours, spice, oak, blackcurrants, blackberry, vanilla and mixed berries, with liquorice and blackpepper on the end palate. Perfect balance with exceptionally long aftertaste. Cellar 5-8 years.
