New and one year old French and American oak has been used in the maturation process of this wine. Very deep crimson, mauve colour. Delightful nose, almost perfumed with aroma of spice, cinnamon and ripe plum. The palate flavours fall away but reveal some liquorice and cherry characteristics. The tannins are firm and on the dry side, followed by aftertaste of cherry, liquorice, with the acidity being a little tight. Cellar 2-3 years.
