1998 Clarendon Hills Hickinbotham Chardonnay

Deep brassy gold colour showing some oxidized character. The nose displays more aromatic intensity that the Kangarilla or Norton Summit Chardonnay. Intense aroma of toasted oak and biscuit. The palate is generous, full bodied almost 'fat' with distinct buttery texture and flavour of smoky oak and spice with grapefruit and melon in the background. Clean crisp acidity followed by a biscuit, butterscotch and spice aftertaste. Cellar 3-4 years.
