1998 Chateau de Leberon Tenareze Armagnac (500ml)

Bottled for the Australian importer in July 2018 from what was considered a great vintage for Armagnac.

Tasting note: Deep topaz / copper penny colour. Lovely ‘big’ Armagnac bouquet has everything going for it in a medley of prunes, dates, fruit cake, brandy sauce and nutty dryness. Further air contact turns the aroma resiny, woody, cigar-box-like. A robust, oak-driven style with a spicy attack; Flavours of vanilla, ripe plum and dates adding a sweet thread through the finish. The final stages are nutty, astringent, peppery and dry. Higher than normal ABV works in its favour. 48.3% Alc./Vol.
