This striking bottle with its floral arabesque of anemones contains the most outstanding champagne produced by Perrier-Jouët and one of the world's greatest prestige cuvees. After a memorable launch in 1969, the cuvee Belle Epoque went on to mark the history of the company and placed Art Nouveau at the centre of its identity.

Perrier-Jouët produce a vintage Cuvée Belle Epoque only in outstanding years. 1996 was one such year, when the quality of the grapes signalled a remarkable harvest from the outset. All the art of champagne making went into keeping the house stylewhile bringing out the exceptional character of the year. The 1996 Cuvée Belle Epoque is blended from some of the most prestigious crus in the Champagne wine-making region - the most important are Cramant and Avize for Chardonnay; Mailly, Verzenay, Verzy and Bouzy for Pinot Noir; and Aÿ and Dizy for Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir. The cuvée is distinguished by a high proportion of Chardonnay from the best slopes in the Côte des Blancs district.
