An exception in the INK #4 series, being bottled at a venerable age and at natural strength. The Rothes distillery, which produces Glen Grant whisky, was founded in the early 19th century in the heart of Speyside. The beginning of its history is marked by the personality of James Grant, alias “The Major”. An innovator, he made Glen Grant the first distillery to install electric lighting. He also created slender stills and purifiers, which remain the hallmark of operations today. Freshly malted clear whisky and a light, floral and fruity style mean the house style is accessible to all. Distilled in 1995 and aged 27 years in a single Bourbon barrel before decanting near peak maturity, cask #88233 presents Glen Grant's herbaceous, malty and honeyed character in full bloom. 50.1% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered.

Notes from the bottlers... Nose: waxy and herbaceous, notes of candied and stewed fruit, aromas of leather, camphor, malted barley. Palate: aromas close to nature (wet grass, barley), incredible freshness given the age. Finish: long and vibrant.
