1994 Yalumba The Signature Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz

Each year 'The Signature' wine honours one of Yalumba's loyal employees. In 1994 the honour goes to Peter Graue, who started life at Yalumba as an electrician and is now the Services Manager. His fetish is burning around the Barossa on his red Ducati! Hmm, could this be the start of a Motor bike series?Superb nose. With almost perfumed aromas of violets, plum, vanilla, spice, blackcurrant and liquorice allsorts with hints of toasted oak in the background. The palate displays good depth and concentration with confectionary, liquorice and blackcurrant flavours dominant, followed by a peppery finish. Firmish tannins but in balance to the fruit, with long plum, liquorice and vanilla spice aftertaste. Cellar 5 - 8 years. Stocks are Limited.
