1993 Domaine Chandon Blanc de Blanc

A magnificent example of methode champenoise made from Chardonnay. Pale straw colour with very fine profuse bead. The nose is a delight with uplifted yeasty nut aromas and just a hint of fig at the end. The palate shows rich creamy texture, great depth and persistence - reflective of the multi vineyard approach to grape sourcing. The creaminess of the palate is enhanced by developed yeast autolysis character, with just a hint of fig and melon flavours appearing. The acidity is perfectly balanced to the fruit and accentuates the creamy texture and aftertaste. Perfect for Christmas.
