Although we doubt there will be faults - please purchase with this in mind.
Established in 1963 by Dr Max Lake, Lake’s Folly was the first new vineyard established in the Hunter Valley during the 20th century and became a pioneer of Australia’s boutique wine movement. The estate built its reputation on two wines: a Cabernet-based red blend and Chardonnay, both produced from estate-grown fruit. The 1991 vintage followed a hot, dry growing season, with Lake’s Folly’s historical vintage records noting the wine’s development over time. The estate’s traditional approach to red winemaking centres on hand harvesting, gentle crushing and open fermentation, followed by maturation in small French oak barrels. Presented in magnum format as a Museum Release, this wine represents a piece of the history of one of Australia’s pioneering boutique wine estates.
