1990 Conde de Valdemar Gran Reserva
A museum Release Rioja that’s soft, supple and driven by tertiary flavours.
For 124 years, five generations of the Bujanda family have produced some of the finest wines from Rioja. It was Joaquín Martínez Bujanda who started the company with 10 hectares of vines in Rioja Alavasa and over the years the estate has expanded to include vineyards across the region.
Made from a blend of Tempranillo and Mazuelo aged for 30 months in oak barrels. Deep brown dark red tinged core with a sienna brown hue. Aromas of stewed plum, liquorice and dried cherries intermix with earth, vanillin oak, old leather, spice and balsamic notes. Rich and soft, dried cherry, liquorice and stewed plum flavours fade into an earth, old tobacco, dried herb, spicy leather and balsamic infused back drop. Velvet smooth tannins with a long, supple, tertiary flavour driven finish.
